Kentucky Derby
Saturday, May 3 - It's Derby Time!! Come and join us for "The Run for the Roses" in the Sandhill Cove Pavilion. The festivities begin at 5:00 p.m.with derby delights and mint juleps. The dining room will also be open that evening so if you plan on joining the Derby Party please sign up at the reception desk.

Residents' & Employees Annual Golf Outing
Monday, May 5 - We invite all our Sandhill Cove golfers to play in our mixed scramble which will be held at Palm Cove Golf & Yacht Club.This fun tournament will begin at 8:30 a.m. Be sure to sign up in the Activity book.

Monthly Shopping & Lunch Trip
Wednesday, May 7 - Our monthly shopping trip will be to Treasure Coast Mall in Jensen Beach. The Sandhill Cove bus will depart the Clubhouse at 10:00 a.m. and will return at approximately 2:00 p.m. Lunch will be on your own at the Mall. Be sure to sign up.

Art Show & Tea
Friday, May 9 - Be sure to join us in the Sandhill Pavilion for a wonderful presentation of paintings done by our art class and residents of Sandhill Cove. Our show will begin with a tea at 2:00 p.m. The art work will be on display until the end of May.

Mother's Day Dinner
Sunday, May 11 - Our Food & Beverage department has planned a wonderful dinner menu in honor of all our Mother's Day guests. Reservations can be made at the Hostess station for 1:00 p.m. or 4:00 p.m. The Staff of Sandhill Cove and Water's Edge wish everyone a wonderful Mother's Day.

Shakespeare Talks
Monday, May 12 - Dr. Alice Griffin will be offering her popular lecture series to Sandhill Cove Residents at 2:00 p.m. in the Card Room. Residents are invited to attend and join us for coffee and conversation.

Birthday Luncheon
Wednesday, May 14 - If you are celebrating your birthday in May, and would like to attend this complimentary luncheon at 12:00 noon in the Sandhill Dining Room, please sign up in the Activity book at the Reception Desk.

Residents' Meeting with the Executive Director
Wednesday, May 14 - All are encouraged to attend this informative meeting at 2:00 p.m. in the Pavilion.

Sandhill Forum
Thursday, May 15 - Please join us at 7:30 p.m. in the Pavilion to hear our speaker, Alex Moskovic, a Jew born in 1931 in the Slovak Republic. He will tell us the story of the Holocaust, starting at age 13.

Norton Museum of Art
Friday, May 16 - Join us for the first ever exhibition devoted exclusively to Alexander Calder's unique body of jewelry works. The exhibit consists of approximately 100 pieces of jewelry from necklaces to tiaras. Our bus will depart the Clubhouse at 10:00 a.m. Reservations are required.

Croquet Luncheon
Monday, May 19 - The Croquet Luncheon will be held at 12:00 noon in the Dining Room. Please make your reservations by May 16.

Jane Miller Book Review
Wednesday, May 21 - Jane Miller will arrive with 20 books for a first time study of "Women Artists; Works from the National Museum of Women in the Arts. Please join us in the Card Room.

Dine Around
Wednesday, May 21 - The Dine Around selection for May is to the Nick's Tomato Pie in Jupiter. Come and enjoy a variety of Italian cuisine. The Sandhill Cove bus will depart the Clubhouse at 4:15 p.m. Reservations are required.

Memorial Day BBQ
Monday, May 26 - Our annual barbecue will be held at 12 noon until 4:00 p.m. in the Sandhill Club dining room. The picnic style menu will consist of burgers, ribs, hot dogs, salads, corn on the cob and some great desserts. Reservations can be made at the Hostess Station.

Sunset Cruise & Bird Watching
Wednesday, May 28 - Come join us for a sunset cruise and bird watching with Captain Nancy at 6:00 p.m. from our dock. Captain Nancy pilots a 40 passenger pontoon boat and is one of the most experienced guides on the St. Lucie river. Light refreshments will be served on board. Reservations are required.

Florida Oceanographic Institute
Friday, May 30 - Join us on a tour of the Florida Oceanographic Institute on Hutchinson Island. They have added some wonderful new displays since our last visit. Following our tour we will stop for lunch at the "High Tides Restaurant". Our bus departs the Clubhouse at 10:00 a.m. Reservations are required.
